Ms. Carmen CarpioI am completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University. I am Spanish speaking. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and children. I understand the importance of providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Mr. Kenyan CrawfordI hold degrees in Psychology, BS and Family Studies, MS. Currently, I am completing internship hours. I have experience working in social service, mental health, and higher education settings. Working in these settings allowed me to experience working with individuals and families of all ages. I enjoy seeing the clients working on improving their lives and discovering more about themselves. I also enjoy seeing how positive mental health progress impacts other areas of a client's life. My preferred evidence-based techniques to use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and narrative therapy. Thanks to my experience in higher education, I am well versed in career exploration and career development resources and tips as well.
Michelle SimmonsMs. Simmons has spent the past 17 years working in a local Christian preschool teaching children from two to five years old. The connections she fostered in her students’ families have inspired her to earn my MFT license. She strives to do more and assist others as they progress through life’s changes with their children and spouses. She uses a combination of compassion and evidenced treatments to foster change in children and families.
Ednah Obi, M.S.Ms. Obi has experience working with individuals with addiction, from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, children with special needs, and families experiencing divorce, change, loss or blended relationship issues. Her goal is to see her clients achieve their personal goals, and make the invisible possibilities visible. Ms. Rabia SalmanRabia Salman has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Houston Victoria and a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Houston Christian University. She currently works as a Graduate Level Counselor with Olive Branch Houston Muslim Family Services as well as Total Wellness Assessment and Counseling Center, and she is pursuing her certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Rabia's approach to counseling is a combination of Person-Centered, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as CBT, therefore she is committed to offering counseling in a judgment-free environment while also developing a compassionate and trustworthy relationship with the client. Her techniques are built on collaborating with the client, concentrating on their strengths, and resolving the client's problems. Her specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. Latanya Dickerson, LCDCMs. Dickerson specializes in alcohol and substance abuse issues and vaping. She has several years working with youth and adults in the correctional field. Her personal experiences and passion to help others leads her treatment sessions. She uses compassion to meet clients where they are. She treats both children and adults.
Brittany Dancer, M.S.Ms. Dancer is completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has devoted most of her life to the field of psychology. She has always enjoyed working with children and families in some capacity. She has experience as a forensic interviewer, domestic violence victim advocate, and helping children, women and families heal from trauma. She has an interest in helping individuals cope with trauma and lead fulfilling and healthy lives. She also has a passion for working with persons with disabilities.

Jeanine WashingtonMs. Jeannine Washington has a wealth of experience working closely with a diverse range of at-risk youth, individuals, families, and other underrepresented populations in crisis for over 16 years. In this, she realized the urgent need for access to mental health services and was motivated to advocate and answer the call. Ms. Washington is completing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialization in the Treatment of Trauma. In her work, she naturally and consistently demonstrates empathy, refrains from judgment, and is passionate about developing trustworthy, therapeutic alliances. Utilizing an array of evidence-based treatment strategies, she strives to join with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan in cultivating space for overcoming challenges, healing through traumatic circumstances, and building the foundation for overall wellness. Jeannine is supervised by Dr. Sally Eisen Miller, PhD.

Ms. Redwine has a background working with children ages 2-13 in the ABA field as a Registered Behavior Technician. Ms. Redwine enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and children. Her counseling approach is based on person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques. Ms. Redwine is passionate about serving her community and expanding the awareness of mental health among underserved populations.

Mar'qiesha Stephens, M.A.Ms. Stephens believes that counseling has advantages for individuals of all ages. She has a Masters in Psychology and 7 years of experience in the mental health field, including working in a psychiatric facility providing services to individuals dealing with issues such as anger management, self-esteem, social skills and mood disorders. She has worked with individuals of all ages including children, adolescents and adults. She has a passion for working with adolescents and young adults.

Ashley Gipson, M.S.Ms. Gipson is a licensed professional counselor in Texas with more than 5 years of professional work experience in mental health. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She has experience in assisting clients develop healthy cope strategies to manage stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, depression, and other symptoms that may disrupt daily functioning. Ms. Gipson resonates with the phrase, “nothing changes, if nothing changes.” To necessitate change, she uses an eclectic approach to therapy. Ms. Gipson’s purpose is to aid each individual with accessing innate tools that can ultimately guide them towards resiliency.

Malkah Bertman, M.A.Malkah Bertman received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston and her ND from the Institute for Alternative Medicine and Cancer in Mountain View, Arkansas. She is also a certified life coach. Malkah is currently completing the last year of her Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling. She has served the community as a wholistic health care practitioner for many years and is currently the director of client services for an ABA clinic serving the autistic community. Malkah has a passion for assisting individuals in achieving wellness and balance in their lives. Her counseling approach is integrative including such theories as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy.

Gloria Ntela, M.A.Ms. Ntela has worked with clients ranging from children to adults with a multitude of presenting issues including mood, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and personality disorders. She is familiar with different therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also conducts personality and intellectual assessments. Her aim is to destigmatize tough discussions regarding mental illness in order to help individuals make sense of and overcome their current circumstances.

She provides testing and counseling services to both children and adults. Her primary goal is to help the client establish the necessary coping skills to overcome their problems, particularly those that commonly occur in family and marital systems.
