Meet Our Team

Picture

Dr. Gina Hudnall

My treatment approach is based on over 15 years of providing testing and treatment services. In every case, my primary treatment goal is to help my clients develop the necessary skills--both thinking and behaving-- to improve their health, academic performance, day-to-day functioning and sense of well-being and self-efficacy. I do not fix my clients but focus all my efforts toward helping them to fix or better manage their problems themselves. This is done through fostering client strengths.
I am uniquely trained to provide both an excellent assessment of problems and treatment that incorporates solutions. Both of these skills help me to work collaboratively with clients to provide evidenced based and fully informed services.

I am pursuing a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston.
State University. My previous degrees include a bachelor’s degree in psychology. My training
focus includes individual, group, and couple counseling. I am also prepared to offer services in

therapy with an emphasis on Feminist Theory. This means that I closely considered how societal
factors influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I understand that acknowledging the
impact of your unique experiences and different identities on the challenges you face is crucial
for your therapeutic process. Therefore, I also use principles from an integrative approach.
Techniques will be tailored to your needs and focused on empowering you, exploring your
strengths while working on your coping skills. Beyond any theoretical approach, as your
therapist, I strive to create a safe space to process what you want to process, to express
yourself without judgment, and to feel heard and validated.
