Who we help

ABA therapy for children at every stage

We work with children who have an autism diagnosis — and families who are still figuring out what their child needs. You don't have to have all the answers to reach out.

□

Early intervention (ages 2–5)

The earlier ABA begins, the greater the impact. We work with toddlers and preschoolers on communication, play skills, and daily routines during the most critical developmental window.

□

School-age children (ages 6–12)

We help children build the social and academic skills they need to participate meaningfully in school and at home — and reduce the behaviors that get in the way.

□

Teens & young adults (13+)

Older learners benefit from ABA focused on independence, vocational skills, and community participation. We meet your teen where they are and build toward their goals.

Our services

ABA services designed around your family

We offer flexible options so your child gets the support they need — in the setting that works best for your family.

□ In-Home ABA Therapy

Your child learns best in a familiar environment. Our BCBAs come directly to your home to provide therapy where your child is most comfortable. Serving Houston, Humble, and surrounding areas.

□ Clinic-Based ABA Therapy

Our dedicated ABA clinic in Humble, TX provides a structured, therapeutic environment with specialized materials and space designed specifically for ABA sessions.

□ Parent & Caregiver Coaching

ABA doesn't stop when the session ends. We train parents and caregivers to reinforce skills throughout the day — so your child's progress continues 24/7.

□ Behavior Support Planning

For children who struggle with specific challenging behaviors, we develop individualized behavior support plans with clear strategies for home, school, and community settings.

Common questions

Answers to what families ask most

Does my child need an autism diagnosis to start ABA therapy?
Yes — ABA therapy is designed specifically for children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. If your child has not yet been evaluated, we can help with that too. Total Wellness offers comprehensive autism evaluations, and we can discuss next steps during your free consultation call.
Does Medicaid cover ABA therapy in Texas?
Yes. Texas Medicaid covers ABA therapy for children with an autism diagnosis. We are a Medicaid-enrolled provider. Call us at 832-402-6539 and we will verify your child's benefits before the first appointment at no cost to you.
What is the difference between in-home and clinic-based ABA?
In-home ABA therapy takes place in your child's home — the environment where they live and learn every day. This makes it easier to work on daily routines, family interactions, and skills that transfer directly to real life. Clinic-based ABA happens at our Humble location, which is equipped with structured therapy spaces and specialized materials. Many families start in-home and transition to clinic as their child develops more skills.
How many hours per week does ABA therapy require?
The recommended number of hours depends on your child's age, needs, and goals. Younger children in early intervention may need 20–40 hours per week. Older children often receive 10–20 hours. Your BCBA will recommend a schedule during the intake process after reviewing your child's assessment.
Do you offer services in Spanish?
Yes. Ricardo, one of our BCBAs, provides services in Spanish. We also have Spanish-speaking administrative staff to help with intake and insurance questions. Please let us know at the time of your inquiry and we will match your family with the right provider.
How quickly can we get started?
After your free consultation call, most families are able to schedule an initial intake appointment within 2–3 weeks. Insurance verification and authorization can take additional time depending on your plan. We will guide you through every step and keep you updated.
Will I be involved in my child's ABA therapy?
Absolutely — and we strongly encourage it. Parent involvement is one of the most important factors in a child's progress. We provide caregiver coaching so you can reinforce your child's skills throughout the day, not just during sessions. You will never be left out of the process.
What areas do you serve?
We provide in-home ABA therapy throughout the Greater Houston area including Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Generation Park, Northeast Houston, and surrounding communities. Our clinic is located at 8820 Will Clayton Pkwy, Suite A, Humble, TX 77338. Call us to confirm we serve your area.
